Same Difference is an exciting International Service project which aims to use art and creativity to help children see the interconnectedness of the world and to raise awareness and understanding of development issues.

Same Difference Education Resources
Developed by International Service and award-winning educators Shoofly Publishing with contributions from the poet and playwright Rommi Smith, the online teaching resources in the Same Difference Classroom aim to promote the ‘Global and International Dimension’ in schools, strengthen thematic approach in education, embed art and creativity within education, promote inquiring active learning rather than passive learning.

While working on the themed activities that cross the curriculum, students will use a broad range of skills, competences and intelligences with 'making’ being an important part of the ethos.

Same Difference Exhibition and Workshops
Same Difference project was devised by the award-winning artist, Ross Georgeson. The original idea was to make a series of collaborative art exhibitions of children’s work, culminating in a large touring exhibition in the UK bringing development awareness messages to the public. The results of this work can be seen in the Same Difference Exhibition.

The Same Difference workshops aim to boost the confidence and self-esteem of children living with HIV/AIDS, conflict, disability and extreme poverty in each of International Service’s programme countries and to raise awareness in the UK.
