The way you cut the paper is the same as you would to make paper lanterns - see illustration

Control and co-ordination. Using colours

Fold a piece of paper in half. Draw lines from the folded edge about 2cm apart across the page. Cut with scissors until 2cm from the end.

Cut strips of coloured paper around 2cm wide

Weave the strips, going over then under, into the paper. Repeat until full
